Fairfield Glade Neighborhood Watch Coalition
The Fairfield Glade Neighborhood Watch Coalition (FGNWC) is a volunteer organization that is guided by four key principles, known as the “4 Ps”: Crime Prevention, Personal Planning & Safety, Preparedness, and Partnering.
The organization works closely with our Fairfield Glade Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies in an effort to keep residents informed on various subjects related to the “4 Ps”. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors that meet monthly in open session, on the second Wednesday at 8:00 AM in the Fairfield Glade Police Department.
Every Neighborhood Watch group in organized geographically within Fairfield Glade. There are between 15 – 50 homes within a group. The “Coordinator” is the key individual within the group that is responsible to communicate key information to residents within the group. Larger groups are often organized with “Block Captains” to help with communications. It is entirely up to the individual group as to how they are structured, and it is also voluntary for residents within their neighborhood to join a group.
The Fairfield Glade Neighborhood Watch Coalition has as a close partnership with the Fairfield Glade Police Department. FGNWC acts as the “eyes and ears” of many neighborhoods and has provided numerous successful reports to the Police Department resulting in the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes in our neighborhoods. This relationship and partnering is key in providing for a safe community by helping to prevent and reduce crime. We encourage ALL residents of Fairfield Glade to become active members of FGNWC.
